Bluebonnets

We took Madeline's picture in the bluebonnets a few weeks ago. So cute!!

Grammy took all the walking grandkids to a park/petting zoo. Madeline loved the Flinstone cars but had a little trouble coordinating the feet. I think she enjoyed getting in and out of it as much a "driving" it.

Here she is hanging out in the Western part of the park. All the kids had a great time!

Congratulations, John!

As of April 1st, John has found his final "dental home". He is officially and permanently at The Woodlands Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry! That's right everyone, John's working in The Woodlands and he'd here to stay! So if you need a dentist, he's your man! (If you need a kid's dentist, I'm your woman, just in case you forgot!)

Nieces and Nephews

Here are so precious pics of Ben, Sophie, Andrew, and Ellen.

This is from one night where I babysat the little guys for a few hours. Such good kids and way easier than one colicky baby!

A & E came over one day while Jennifer was looking for houses. Here's what we did for entertainment.....sidewalk chalk! Super fun!As you can tell, Aunt Jessica is lots of fun! They are all always invited and we're hoping that even though they live farther away they'll still come over and play!

Super Exciting!!

So we went to the doctor and I'm having a baby!! ONE baby! I know, in my family that's nothing and really a little underachieving, but I'm thrilled! It's obviously very small but my stomach says otherwise! I have very happily switched to maternity clothes and feel SO much more comfy. Sometimes I wonder why we don't wear elastic waste bands all the time.

Anyway, here's a picture of Baby Kacher and you can see it's little heart beating!

Fun Weekend with Friends

We went and saw our friends in Houston this weekend. Madeline had so much fun with Alexander. He loved pushing her and she loved being pushed! Especially on a truck. My daughter really likes trucks. Go figure. They bounced on the trampoline together. (Yes, there is a safety net.) No amount a bumping or falling bothered these two!
Here we are at Pump It Up for Cade's b-day party. Can you believe all these kids sat there so good. Well, most of them..... In her defense, she's one of the youngest there and her boyfriend keeps checking her out and patting her back. I do have pics of her sitting but I thought this was funnier!
Here she is with Daddy crawling through the maze.
Just cute and saying "cheese"! Love the hair!
I found out this is a fancy trick that goes on while I'm at work and the dishes are getting unloaded. I'm not sure the dishwasher was built for climbing.
Madeline screamed to wear my T-shirt so we put it on her. She had this serious "I am important" look the entire time she wore it.

December Highlights

Madeline wanted to taste some of the BEST apples ever!! John special ordered Honey Crisp apples for us. They last about 4 months in the fridge and are awesome!! I know, your thinking "it's an apple" but these are special. They are the crispest, sweetest apples and I'm addicted to them. I don't really like apples usually but I won't say no to these. Anyway, Madeline was carefully monitored so she wouldn't choke but she is a fan now, too.

Here she is with her fancy new play kitchen. She loves it and loves to share it. Andrew and Ellen taught her how to cook babies in the oven. I guess as long as they don't try it with a real baby......
Finally! A picture with her aunt! Aunt Jennifer is usually busy with her gang but we were able to get one Christmas picture with them together.
Madeline was somewhat indifferent to Santa Claus. She wasn't scared but didn't really care. Thanks for the dress, Ellen!

Ellen and Andrew came to the office today and were perfect!!!! We brushed their teeth with the special "race car" toothbrush, crunched off a little tartar (just a little bit - Mom and Dad are doing a good job brushing!), flossed, and flourided their teeth! They did everything the 10 year olds do - good job guys! I'm so proud!

Hudson did great, too! He even played with the "water gun"!

Hunting Camp

My parents, grandparents, John and I took Andrew, Ellen, and Madeline to south Texas for a fun trip. We had a blast although I don't think we'll be doing it again next year.....maybe in a few years. They played with dirt, pulled out sticker burs, petted dogs, etc... Ellen kept reminding us "Don't touch the cactus!" I guess we did a good job of warning them about the cactus because nobody tried to touch it.

Here's Madeline 5 minutes after we got there. Not afraid at all.

Here's Andrew and Ellen 10 min after we got there. These kids are dog people!
Everyone's "working" per Ellen and Andrew - filling buckets with dirt. My grandfather was thrilled they were using our eating spoons for digging. How do you like the fancy camo reclining lawn chairs?
And the best picture - A&E playing with dead birds. They loved them and didn't want to let go!

It was a great trip and it was so fun to watch the kids interact and explore!

Get excited because Christmas pics will be in the next update!
