Easter - finally!

Aunt Jennifer had an Easter egg hunt in her huge backyard. I've never seen so many eggs! Ellen has been decorating eggs as you can see by her colored hands and is showing her results to Madeline. Andrew is still hard at work. Good job guys!

On the hunt.

At Memama and Grandaddy's house having another egg hunt.

We met our friends at the Aquarium - what a great place! Madeline loved everything including the horses outside.

Smiling for the camera with her favorite necklace on while she's eating dinner. FYI - if they aren't good at using straws, it can be a very messy meal.

Riley

Here's our new dog Riley. So sweet - look at that face!
This picture is from the first day we had her. She didn't care at all that Madeline was messing with her food and water while she was eating. We knew it was going to work out just fine after this.

Just being a cheese-ball!

Madeline and her doll went "night-night" on the blanket. Riley came to join them a minute later.

Mother's Day

We had a GREAT Mother's Day! Of course, I have almost no pictures of the mothers and several of the kids and fathers but whatever, they're cute. And no dressed up pictures either. I guess when you get 5 kids under 3 and 6 adults together, it's difficult to make time to take pictures at the restaurant. Anyways, Walden was very good and the kids were fairly well behaved.

We swam at my grandparents pool after lunch. Sophie and Ben were so patient with all of the activities and had the best attitudes. Look how cute they are!

Ellen and I hung out and watched everyone else before we decided to get in. Yes, I am aware that my legs are glowing!

Madeline and Daddy having a blast! She is fearless! She could even swim by herself (with Daddy right there)!

Just smiling for the camera. Taking a break on the noodle!

Andrew and Pablo having fun, too. I see future chicken fights.......

Madeline and Ellen just chillin' and loving the floaties.

She has super human strength! Look at her carrying that chair. The craziest part of it is she moved all 4 chairs to the other room and lined them up against the wall. I guess she was reorganizing. Thank you A & E for the table and chairs - we love them!

Dog

So I haven't uploaded pics in a while. (Obviously!) I was going to wait and post this with pictures but.......we got a dog, Riley, about a month ago - so sweet! She's a black lab and 1.5 yrs old. She's from the SPCA and has a great personality. Madeline loves her and she loves all of us - especially John! She sleeps in a crate in our bedroom (John's idea) and spends most of her time laying around. She's chewed a few of Madeline's toys but not too many and is learning the ropes/rules pretty quickly. (She's not allowed upstairs.) I will post pictures of her soon.........

We learn the sex of Baby Kacher on June 1st so stay tuned!

Apple-Pear

So today I found a new fruit at Kroger. Maybe I'm just the last one to find out about these but they are "Apple-Pears". Interesting. Shaped like an apple, texture of an asian pear. Sweet and juicy. Good, but I'm not sure how to rate it. Would I rather have an apple or a pear - maybe. If anyone else has any opinions about this new and interesting fruit feel free to comment.

April Fun

Here's some pictures of some of the fun we've been having. Easter pics will be coming with the next download.

Daddy and Madeline playing piggy back rides. If she would just hold on a little better....

Ellen and Madeline playing dress up. I think Andrew was enjoying the show. Look how well Ellen walks in heels - runway, here she comes!

Madeline smartly chooses flip-flops over the heels. Just like her mom. Who really enjoys having their toes scrunched up when you have the option of comfort!

And, the monster truck. Thankfully, this is the last time I've seen it played with since I took this picture. She is really getting into purses. Usually 2 or 3 at a time.
